FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT SIGNS TO TIME BOMB RECORDINGS
Modern-day rockabilly icons, the Reverend Horton Heat, have found a new home with Orange County based Time Bomb Recordings, officially signing to the label in January of 1999. Excited about their choice, the band will spend the next few months focused on writing and recording new material for a sixth release due out this year.
Currently locked in a Dallas studio writing the new album, the Reverend Horton Heat plans to begin recording in February/March with a still-to-be determined producer. Fans should look for a mid-summer release. The band will subsequently launch an extensive international tour that will continue through the millennium.
The band’s long time manager Scott Weiss says, "The group is obviously happy to be with Time Bomb. The label was their first choice. They see Time Bomb as a small boutique label with the ability and resources to sell a significant amount of records. The people who work at the label have always been fans of the band. We’ve seen them at the shows and have known them for years. We are excited that they seem genuinely interested in the music."
